IWhen I moved to Marin, I agonized over finding a new hair salon. I was flipping through the Pacific Sun and saw that, year after year, the same salon—Brewer Phillips—was voted the Best Hair Salon in Marin by readers. I expected the best salon in Marin to be a little snooty, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The owner, Ann Brewer, is a doll. In fact, the entire staff is as nice as can be.
I’m fussy about my hair and from my first visit, I was thrilled with my color, highlights and cut. I have since moved to the East Bay, but continue to drive to Marin to have my hair done at Brewer Phillips. I don’t let anyone else touch my hair.   Also—they have their own wonderful line of haircare products. (I am partial to the Boost volumizing powder.)

It is a pleasure to be Ann’s client. She is a true professional & business woman and is loved by both her clients and the people who work at Brewer Phillips. She is count-on-able. She is top notch. All you have to do is show up and she will take good care of you.  I have never be dissatisfied ever in Ann, her work or her shop.  What a pleasure!!

I don’t know how it’s done, but somehow Ann and her team have created a cozy, welcoming space out of a large airy salon, so one has the best of both worlds:  Sophisticated comfort.  I’m welcomed with a smile, treated with courtesy, and always know that I’ll leave looking much more glamorous than when I arrived.  When I need a boost to my spirits, Brewer-Phillips is where I go!

 I love Brewer Philllips! This beautiful, modern salon offers the feel of San Francisco or New York style in the heart of Marin County. Ann Brewer, the owner prides herself on staying ahead of the curve and regularly attends workshops and events on trends in hair. My hair stylist Maggie Tidmore was trained by Ann and is a simply wondrous colorist. I am a very satisfied client. 

Coming to Brewer Philips is more than just getting your hair done. It’s an experience of feeling taken care of, listened to, and having stylists bring our the best version of yourself that you can imagine. The salon is a peaceful haven that feels like an escape every time I get my hair done. Ann Brewer is a master technician and her team is well trained and efficient. In my opinion this is the best salon to go to and I highly recommend it.  

 I love this salon!  No other salon compares. I’m fortunate to have Ann, the salon owner, as my hair designer, and she is a true artist.  So skilled.  She understand facial structure and how to accentuate my best features.  I love feeling beautiful every time I leave each appt.  But all of the designers are so nice and seem to be on the cutting edge of what’s happening in hair care.  True pros. The salon vibe is chill and space is beautiful. I really can’t say enough about Brewer Phillips.  I would give them 10 stars, and I always recommend them.  I wish them nothing but continued success, because they truly earn it. 

I have known Ann for 45 years. From my earliest memory, she had her mind set on becoming a stylist and she has not only accomplished that, but has become the owner/operator of the top salon in Marin County. Ann has put together a great group of people. It is a pleasure and treat to go into Brewer Phillips Hair Design each and every time. It’s an experience I highly recommend!
